Egyptian, Indian Special Forces Conclude “Cyclone-4” Joint Training Exercise

The Egyptian Armed Forces announced the conclusion of the joint Egyptian–Indian training exercise “Cyclone-4”, conducted with the participation of elements from the Egyptian and Indian Special Forces.

The exercise was carried out over several days at the Special Forces combat training ranges in the Arab Republic of Egypt, in the presence of a number of Special Forces commanders and the Indian Military Attaché in Cairo, the Egyptian Ministry of Defense said in a statement.

The training phases included the execution of a series of theoretical and practical lectures aimed at unifying operational concepts among participating forces, in addition to the organization of an exhibition showcasing weapons and equipment. The program also incorporated specialized training on the optimal handling of improvised explosive devices (IEDs).

The final phase of the exercise featured the execution of a simulated raid on a terrorist stronghold within a residential area utilizing helicopters. The operation included the successful rescue of hostages, the apprehension of terrorist elements, the provision of first aid, and the evacuation of casualties. Additionally, participants conducted a number of non-conventional live-fire drills, demonstrating a high degree of accuracy and proficiency in engaging targets from both stationary and dynamic positions.

The various stages of the exercise reflected the advanced level of training and the high degree of technical proficiency attained by the participating elements, as well as their ability to execute assigned missions with efficiency and professionalism.

This exercise is conducted within the framework of the Armed Forces’ commitment to the exchange of training expertise and the strengthening of military cooperation with friendly and partner nations. (Source & Photo © Egyptian Ministry of Defense)
