His Majesty King Abdullah II of Jordan received on Tuesday Poland Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of National Defence Władysław Marcin Kosiniak-Kamysz, according to a Royal Court statement.
During the meeting, held at Al Husseiniya Palace and attended by His Royal Highness Crown Prince Al Hussein bin Abdullah II, His Majesty emphasised the need to restore comprehensive calm in the Middle East through dialogue and diplomacy.
The meeting also touched on the importance of strengthening cooperation between Jordan and Poland across various fields, particularly in the areas of military and security cooperation.
Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ayman Safadi, Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff Major General Yousef Huneiti, Director of the Office of His Majesty Alaa Batayneh, and the accompanying Polish delegation attended the meeting.
Meanwhile, the Chairman of the Jordanian Joint Chiefs of Staff Major General Yousef Huneiti also met on Tuesday with Poland’s Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of National Defence, Petra news agency reported.
Huneiti and Kosiniak-Kamysz discussed strengthening military and defence cooperation and collaboration across various fields in support of shared interests and regional and international security and stability.
They reviewed issues of mutual interest, particularly in the areas of training, exchange of expertise, counterterrorism and defence capacity building.
Huneiti said that the Jordanian Armed Forces is committed to expanding cooperation with the Polish Armed Forces to achieve greater coordination and integration.
Kosiniak-Kamysz, in turn, expressed appreciation for Jordan’s role, under the leadership of His Majesty King Abdullah II, in promoting security and stability in the region and praised the professionalism and efficiency of the Jordan Armed Forces. (Sources & Photo © Royal Court; Petra)
